Hello friends, clients and neighbors.
Today marks the change from summer to fall and a few other changes that I think most of us welcome: cooler temperatures, jewel-tone leaves falling, football, the State fair, Thanksgiving, and more. There is certainly a lot to look forward to and a lot to do.
On October 8th, I'll be sending out the link to my annual Fall and Winter Guide - a great resource for finding things to do throughout the DFW area during this amazing season. I hope you find it helpful! On October 4th I'll be attending the 2020 DFW Market Forecast. Keep your eyes open for my annual summary of the information I take away from that event.
Personally speaking, I think fall market is going to be good. I've spoken with several lenders in the past week, and all of them are seeing increased applications for mortgages and they're generating new pre-approvals daily. The Federal Reserve dropped the overnight rate a quarter point last week. That move did not translate to lower mortgage rates but these rates remain at all time low which means that a buyer can potentially qualify for "more house."
In my professional opinion, this fall would be a great time to buy a home. You'll likely compete with fewer buyers and with 3.5 months of inventory, buyers have more supply (houses to choose from) than we've had all year. Now is a great time to be actively looking for a home to purchase.
If you've been kicking around the idea of making a move, call me. Let's get together to discuss your goals and objectives, and put together a plan to set you up for success.
I look forward to hearing from you.
